QuickTip – Meteor and "unable to get local issuer certificate"

I’ve been working in a new Meteor application to show to my pairs how it works, the problem is that, we have lots of security restrictions. When I tried to start it in my work place, I got the following problem.

server-id = 1
=> Started proxy.
=> Started MongoDB.
=> Errors prevented startup:

   While downloading autoupdate@1.2.11...:
   error: unable to get local issuer certificate

   While downloading blaze@2.1.9...:
   error: unable to get local issuer certificate

I was unable to download the packages and start the application, the solution “please, read workaround” was disable the secutiry validation, how?

export NODE_TLS_REJECT_UNAUTHORIZED=0

Doing this, Meteor downloaded all the packages as usual. But take care, use it just for this kind of situation, even because, there are some proposals to change this name or even to remove this option.
